1.Make sure your firewall is always is in a position "on". A firewall is a software prevent illegal access to your computer, whether they intend to remove the information, computer damage, or steal personal data. If u use more than one computer which are connected together, make sure the firewall on each computer are active. This is to prevent virus spread to all computer if one computer is affected.
Note: Windows 7, Windows Vista, and Windows XP with SP2 have a firewall already built-in and turned on by default.
2.Be careful of external storage media. External storage media like flash, SD card, portable hard drive and others can become an intermediary for the spread of the virus so make sure you scan the external media to be save from viruses.
3.Use software that are legal. Illegal software usually contain pirated programs crack/ patch that will cause the computer system to become unstable due to the nature of the crack is destructive of destroying the defense of the software that was hijacked to be use in a full version and this can be considered an exploit in Windows 7 so as to endanger the system.
